Blue Anam Cara was founded in 2011 by Cara Amenta with the dream that she could help the people of Los Angeles relieve their stress and pain, in a way that would seamlessly fuse clinical and holistic aspects of massage and quantum energy healing.

The Anam Cara is a Gaelic term for "soul friend." In everyone’s life, there is a great need for an Anam Cara. In this relationship, you are understood as you are, without mask or pretention. When you are understood, you are at home. This is the relationship she seeks with her clients. As her practice developed, she found that she was drawn to working more with clients that had chronic pain experiences. Having suffered through a chronic pain and illness experience herself, she found that she could easily relate to people who weren't sure that their pain would ever stop, let alone knew how to stop it.

She made it her life’s work to help those who were suffering find their way back home to their bodies and lead healthier lives. She works with clients from the outside in with massage therapy, and from the inside out with her subconscious and quantum healing modalities.  Cara has worked in a variety of different clinical and holistic settings in her career, including working almost exclusively with children in palliative care settings, working with some of the lead pediatric physicians at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, and working with their Complimentary Alternative Medicine (CAM) Team. Cara has contributed to two books highlighting her personal and professional expertise on the human pain experience.

Including people from all walks of life, her private practice is composed of massage clients as well as those focused on shifting the thought patterns and emotions that are at the root of disease and stress in their lives.  Using subconscious modalities as well as high vibrational frequency techniques, Cara’s compassionate approach has helped clients release major life traumas, feel more empowered in their lives, and remember that their greatest superpower is their own self love.
